As part of our Artist in Residence program, Thirst collaborated with artist Matthew Hoffman on this installation in conjunction with his solo exhibition Independence.

The installation features a digital marshmallow suspended above a “campfire” of burnt fragments of discomfort. Flames flicker in sync with Matthew’s voice as the marshmallow blisters, eventually transforming into ‘gold’, forged into perfection by the discomfort of an unexpected, albeit beautiful life.
