Rick Valicenti and Tanner Bowman created an interactive installation allowing Typeforce 7 guests to drop names.
Name Dropping was an event designed to make a tangible social network. Using hot wax, gallery visitors were invited to add their name to a long list. For a moment, a name resided at the top of the list but soon it sank into an anonymous puddle — the broader social context. Handwriting subtleties were temporary before they too became obscured by the messy vulnerability of the material.
