As part of our 2013 Artist in Residence program, Thirst collaborated with artist Matthew Hoffman on our third collection — With And For All. This statement resonates and reverberates with great relevance today as the US Congress ignores their representative responsibilities, eschews collaboration, and brings progress to a halt. Like other important ciphers such as ♥, LOL, or :-), Matthew reminds us that everything we do should be W/+IIIIALL [With And For All].
This collection includes thirty hand-finished wooden bricks, a totem, a necklace, a bracelet, a pair of knuckles, and a suite of audio ringtones. Designed in collaboration with Rick Valicenti, Baozhen Li, and John Pobojewski.
Artist in Residence Matthew Hoffman produces the stop motion sequence at the end of the short film in the Thirst studio.
